Course description
Set right on the edge of the mighty Ocean, Atlantic Point brings a new realism never seen before to Links 2003. This testing course winds its way from the pine forests inland down to the rugged coast where no less than seven of the greens lie alongside the sea before moving back into the trees for the finale.
Advanced texture blending techniques have been used to create the abundant natural looking bunkers and their unique sand splashed faces. Many different textures and blendings have also been used in the creation of the ocean itself. This course is no walk in the park though - it will test your skills above and sometimes beyong their limits. Set the pins to difficult and let the wind loose and par will be golden. Don't worry though you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery no matter how you score.
Lots of risk reward opportunities will present themselves with bunkers to carry and risky lines to take off the tee. If you dare, you might try the long carry over the sandy bay for a chance to drive the short par 4, 5th hole. Danger lurks at every turn with trees, deep grasses, heather, gorse and of course the crashing Atlantic to hinder your progress should you stray.
The ambient sounds add to the immersion and include gulls, other birds and of course the crashing ocean surf.
