Back on sale by popular demand! You can still get the courses as a bonus course with the 'downloadable' version of Links 2003 but now it's back on my site too so if you like my other courses and want to play the Links 2003 course that got it all started - now you can.
After 5 award winning courses for Links 2001, ShadowLands G.C. was my first creation for Links 2003 and it uses the full power of the new APCD 1.5 to add a sense of being there never before experienced in Links. Expect to see some of the most realistic planting I've done to date and with the return of tree shadows in Links 2003, some of the treelined holes will take your breath away. That's not to say that all the holes are tightly enclosed by trees, inspired by fantastic courses such as Pine Valley and Sunningdale, many have an open feel to them. Sandy scrub areas, heather, lakes and streams will challenge your skills to the limit and beyond.
Shot values were uppermost in my mind as I designed the layout to fit the undulating terrain. ShadowLands will test all aspects of your game and you'll have to use every club in your bag and every shape and type of shot you can imagine if you want to score low here. Strategy is paramount and quite often the centre of the fairway isn't the place to be if you want to attack some of the more difficult pin positions.
Looking for a nice relaxing round without too much hard work? Simply select easy pin positions, dial down the wind and maybe even use one of the forward sets of tees. With some careful planning and good execution this course will be there for the taking. Whether you like a challenge or just want a walk in the park, I'm sure you'll enjoy your round and after all, isn't that what it's all about?
